Paul is a 1992 graduate of Iowa City High School, where he was active in forensics, art and model United Nations. Over the next nine years Paul worked his way through college at the University of Iowa, receiving a B.A. in 2001 with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Political Science. He received his J.D. in 2004 from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was a writer and editor for Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems and a participant in the Van Oosterhout Moot Court Competition. Paul became a member of the Illinois Bar in 2004 and worked briefly as a clerk at a small appellate boutique in Washington, D.C. In 2006 Paul returned to Iowa and began working at Lynch, Greenleaf & Michael, L.L.P., first as a clerk and later, after passing the Iowa Bar, as an associate, the position he currently holds.
Paul is a member of the American, Iowa, and Johnson County Bar Associations, and was recently appointed as an at large representative to the Executive Council of the ISBA Young Lawyers Division. Paul enjoys cooking, reading and politics.
